LEADERSHIP
Chris Abrahamsen
PASTOR
Chris and his wife Tracy married in 1985 and moved to Emmett in 2018. Chris worked as an electrical engineer for 32 years before retiring in 2017. Before moving to Idaho, Chris served as a lay elder/pastor at Cow Creek Community Church in Palo Cedro, CA, for 20 years and has been the pastor at GBC since 2021. Chris enjoys outdoor activities, woodworking, and reading. Chris and Tracy have two children and eight grandchildren.

Mike Darling
DEACON
Mike invited Christ into his heart and life at the age of ten. Mike and his wife Becky met at Shasta Bible College and married in 1981. He worked in law enforcement as a crime scene investigator and retired in 2017. Becky and Mike moved to Emmett in 2018 and in 2020 Mike started working part time for a municipal police department. Prior to moving to Emmett, Mike has served as an elder, as an AWANA commander and as a youth pastor. Mike enjoys a variety of outdoor hobbies including fishing, shooting, welding and woodworking. Mike and Becky have 5 children and 6 grandchildren.

Jesse Busse
DEACON
Jesse and his wife, Kathy, have had series of adventures since their marriage in 1985, many of which involve their two children and their children’s spouses. Jesse and Kathy met at Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny Iowa. Jesse and Kathy have had a lot of experience as do-it-yourselfers by renovating houses and restoring numerous pieces of furniture. Over the years Jesse served in various capacities in different churches. Jesse had a 32-year long adventure teaching high school math and science (mostly chemistry) in Omaha, Nebraska. After retiring from teaching in 2020 God led Jesse and Kathy to Emmett Idaho where their adventures continue with another fixer-upper to renovate and with the addition of a grandchild to the family.
